Sales Representative

Based in Byron Bay, Brookfarm is a generational family company that has been committed to regenerative Australian farming, sustainably sourced ingredients, and regional food production of the highest quality for over 20 years. We are Australia’s leading producer of gourmet muesli and snacks sold in independent retailers, health food stores and online, employing over 65 staff across our local macadamia farm, bakehouse and administrative headquarters in the Northern Rivers, NSW.

We are seeking a full time Sales Representative to join our supportive sales team. This role will suit someone who is highly motivated and well-organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. You will have a positive attitude, be a strong team player with a desire to learn and work hard and be able to adapt to a changing environment while working accurately to meet deadlines.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and develop strong meaningful relationships with store owners, managers and key stakeholders with your customer base to assist them in building their businesses with the benefits that Brookfarm can bring.
  • Increase sales and brand awareness within your assigned markets.
  • Work with Marketing to create effective retail and foodservice campaigns that fit well in the Territory.
  • Develop new business that fits with Brookfarm values and strategy and strengthens our Australian retail and foodservice base. 
  • Be a Brookfarm brand ambassador, communicating to customers the Brookfarm values and story.
  • Creating and implementing business strategies for the Territory and key accounts to achieve agreed sales KPI’s.
  • Conduct product demonstrations (where applicable) and coordinate the preparation of sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and account management plans.
  • Support your fellow Brookfarm team members by communicating well and building supportive relationships with all departments including warehousing and dispatch, production, finance, procurement, marketing and quality assurance.
  • Develop reports and analyse sales numbers and data
  • Represent Brookfarm at trade shows, product demonstrations, customer training and functions as required.
  • Build collaborative relationships with non-competing food businesses in the Northern Rivers and beyond.

What you’ll need to bring to Brookfarm:

  • Account Management and sales experience
  • Proficiency with MAC, MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve and create value
  • Experience in Pronto or similar software
  • Collaborative, can do attitude!
