Warehouse and Supply Chain Supervisor

The role

As the Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor you are responsible for distribution, involving dispatch planning activities, maintenance of the warehouse and systems, organising the storage and distribution of goods, as well as managing the movement of goods throughout the supply chain. You will lead the warehouse team.

In your role you will be a member of the Supply Chain team reporting to the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain.

About the opportunity

Full time position, seeking an enthusiastic and self driven team player with leadership skills to be responsible for efficient management of warehouse duties including:

  • Supervise and coordinate logistics and warehouse functions
  • Engaging and developing the warehouse team, supporting team training, staff development, performance and culture.
  • Review sales orders in ERP system to coordinate dispatch of orders
  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels, stock adjustments and variances including periodic stocktaking
  • Dispatching goods and arrange freight for local, interstate and export freight requirements
  • Liaison with sales team on order fulfilment 
  • Maintaining the warehouse to a food safety standard
  • Working on and improving sustainability outcomes for the business 
  • Continuous improvement - investigate and proactively manage opportunities for improved productivity, safety, cost, quality and waste reduction

Skills Required

  • Supervisory experience, leading a small team in a distribution and / or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of transport and logistics processes.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • High level written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to engage with a wide range of people.
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve a successful outcome.
  • Computer literacy – Word, Excel,Google Drive, email & manufacturing operating systems knowledge an advantage
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
