The Early Bird Catches the Worm

In a world full of distractions, rising early is the perfect time to invest in yourself.

We’ve all heard the proverb – the early bird catches the worm. There is much to be said about why making the most of your morning can set the tone for the rest of your day. Ask any person who you believe to be positive or successful and no doubt they will have morning rituals they follow. This positive kick-start to their day ensures better concentration, feeling less stressed and an attitude of being able to take on what is thrown at them. In a world full of distractions, rising early is the perfect time to invest in yourself – emotionally, physically and spiritually. Make the most of the peace and serenity. Nourish your soul as you see the sun rise up in the sky, hear the first birds twitter and watch the world wake. Embrace all that makes Australia so unique. Coast, country or city, rise early and take in the sights, smells and sounds that surround you. Notice the golden glow of the sand and the sun’s rays on the water. Smell the freshly cut grass and the eucalyptus trees at first light. Hear the silence of the city streets before they buzz. Meditate. Surf. Go for a walk. Jog. Do yoga. Read the paper. We can all be morning people. It’s an attitude. A frame of mind. You will never regret getting up early to run along the sand or walk your dog through the park. Resist the temptation to hit snooze and grab the opportunity to seize the day. Do it. Make the first hour of your day inspiring and energising. Spend time on yourself. Invest in yourself. You deserve it.
