From Our Byron Bay Macadamia Farm
Our macadamia story began more than 30 years ago, when the Brook family bought a run-down dairy farm in the Byron Bay hinterland. They turned it into a working macadamia farm and planted over 45,000 trees, regenerating an ancient subtropical rainforest that's now a haven for native wildlife.
Today, Australian macadamias are in almost everything we make. We farm regeneratively, support Australian growers, and craft every product in Byron Bay. Read more about our story and our regenerative farming.
Roasted Macadamia Nuts and Macadamia Oil
Our Oven Roasted Macadamias are premium whole Australian macadamia nuts, lightly dry roasted with a touch of macadamia oil. Choose Pink Lake Salt, harvested in western Victoria by Mt Zero with the Barengi Gadjin Land Council, or native Australian saltbush. More than 170 customers rate them close to 5 stars.
Our cold-pressed Premium Grade Macadamia Oil has a nutty, sweet flavour and a high 210°C smoke point, so it's ideal for dressings, baking and stir fries. Try all three in our Macadamias 3-Ways bundle.
Macadamias for Breakfast, Snacks and Gifts
Macadamias feature across our breakfast range, starting with our award-winning Toasted Muesli Macadamia Cranberry. Our Keto Paleo Granola contains 22% macadamias, and you'll also find them in our Low Sugar and High Protein granolas and our gluten free muesli.
For snacking, try our Nut & Fruit Mix Macadamia Cranberry. Looking for a gift? Our gourmet hampers are packed with Australian macadamias.
Macadamia FAQs
Where do your macadamias come from?
All our macadamias are Australian. Our family has farmed macadamias in the Byron Bay hinterland for more than 30 years, and we work with Australian growers to source premium nuts for our whole range. Read our story.
Are macadamias native to Australia?
Yes. Macadamias are native to the subtropical rainforests of northern New South Wales and south-east Queensland, close to our farm. They're one of the few Australian native foods grown and enjoyed around the world.
Are macadamia nuts healthy?
Macadamias are rich in monounsaturated fat: about 60g of the 75g of fat per 100g in our Oven Roasted Macadamias. They also contain fibre and are naturally low in carbohydrates and sugar. Enjoy them as part of a balanced diet.
Are your roasted macadamias salted?
Lightly. Choose Oven Roasted Macadamias with Pink Lake Salt, or with native Australian saltbush. Both are dry roasted with just a touch of macadamia oil.
What can I cook with macadamia oil?
Almost anything. Our cold-pressed macadamia oil has a high 210°C smoke point, so it suits stir fries, roasting and baking, and its nutty flavour is lovely in salad dressings and marinades.
How do you eat macadamias?
Do macadamias make a good gift?
They do. Our gourmet gift hampers are filled with Australian macadamias, and our Macadamias 3-Ways bundle includes roasted macadamias, macadamia oil and Keto Paleo Granola.
