Porridge Without Oats, Made for Everyone
Because it's made without oats, our porridge is naturally gluten free, which is something oat porridge can't be in Australia. It's also vegan, so it suits coeliacs, plant-based eaters and anyone who simply wants a more nourishing breakfast. Explore our full gluten free range.
Each 45g serve has 5.4g of protein, 3.9g of fibre and less than 1g of sugar. Flaxseed adds fibre, macadamias and almonds bring healthy fats, and quinoa and amaranth provide plant protein to keep you full until lunch.
Ready in Two Minutes, Your Way
Mix a third of a cup of porridge with two-thirds of a cup of water or milk, microwave for two minutes and stir. Or simmer it gently on the stove until thick and creamy.
Then make it your own. Top it with berries and yoghurt, sliced banana and maple syrup, roasted apples, or a handful of crushed macadamias. It also works in pancakes, biscuits and even savoury bowls. Find ideas in our recipes below.
Porridge FAQs
Is your porridge gluten free?
Yes. It's made without oats, wheat, barley or rye, using naturally gluten free grains: brown rice, polenta, quinoa and amaranth. It's also vegan.
Why are there no oats in your porridge?
In Australia, oats can't be labelled gluten free, and plenty of people want a porridge that doesn't rely on them. Our blend of brown rice, polenta, quinoa and amaranth gives a creamy texture, with almonds, flaxseed and macadamias for extra nutrition.
Is your porridge healthy?
Each 45g serve has 5.4g of protein, 3.9g of fibre and less than 1g of sugar. It's made from eight all-natural ingredients with no preservatives or additives, and wholegrains, nuts and seeds make up 86% of the pack.
How do I cook it?
In the microwave, mix 1/3 cup of porridge with 2/3 cup of water, cook on high for 2 minutes, then stir for 30 seconds. On the stove, simmer 1/3 cup of porridge with 1 cup of water or milk on low heat, stirring until thick and creamy.
Can I make it with milk?
Yes. Any dairy or plant-based milk works and makes it creamier. In the microwave, cooking time may vary slightly when using milk.
What pack sizes are available?
It comes in a 400g pack (about 9 serves) and a 1kg pack (about 22 serves). You can also buy a carton of six 1kg packs. Shop now.
