Where are our products made?
We are proudly Australian owned and made. Our entire range is lovingly created in the Brook family kitchen and produced in our bakehouse located in Byron Bay.
Is our gluten free range safe for coeliacs?
Yes, our gluten free products contain no wheat, oats, rye, barley or detectable gluten. We adhere to strict allergen control procedures to ensure our gluten free offerings remain safe and compliant with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) guidelines.
Do our products contain added sugar?
We do not add refined sugar to our products. We use ingredients like dried cranberries, cherries, blueberries, sultanas and currants, as well as Australian bush honey, maple syrup and golden syrup (only in our Wholefood Bars) to add sweetness.
Our sourced dried cranberries, cherries and blueberries contain a small amount of added sugar and oil (less than 1% of the fruit), which keeps them soft, plump and reduces the tendency of fruit sticking together.

Are there peanuts in our products?
Our products are peanut free and all our production facilities are peanut free. We take great care to ensure our ingredients are peanut free and do not contain any allergens that are not declared on our packs. Many of our products do contain tree nuts - macadamias, hazelnuts, pecans, almonds and pistachios. Please read allergen statements on the packaging and product webpage carefully before consuming.
Are our products kosher?
All our products are kosher, certified by Kosher Australia.
Are our products non-GMO?
All our products are certified non-GMO, by Cert ID.
How should our products be stored?
To maintain peak freshness and quality, store Brookfarm products in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. For optimal freshness, reseal the packaging tightly after each use.
What oil is used to bake our granolas?
Most of our granolas and toasted mueslis are baked with Australian macadamia oil. It’s a cold-pressed, non-GMO oil that’s rich in monounsaturated fats. Macadamia oil is great for heart health and adds a naturally sweet and nutty flavour that complements our blends beautifully.
A very small amount of sunflower oil is present in some of the dried fruits we use—especially cranberries—which are lightly coated (less than 1%) to prevent sticking and clumping. In the absence of these the cranberries would present as a solid block of very hard berries! Even with the addition of the oil, it requires a fair bit of work by our Bakehouse to break them apart and distribute them evenly when hand mixing and baking. But we prefer to keep the oil level as low as possible.
Additionally, a very small number of products in our snack range use high oleic sunflower oil, which is different from standard sunflower or vegetable oils. It’s higher in healthy monounsaturates and lower in polyunsaturated and saturated fats, making it more stable during baking and better for general health. It also has a healthier Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio, more in line with oils like olive or macadamia.
We’ve chosen our oils carefully to balance taste, function and nutritional value. While research into certain oils are still evolving, we stay up to date and are committed to making the most informed choices possible for our recipes.

For the best experience, gently shake the bag before serving to ensure even distribution of ingredients. Our breakfast products are versatile—enjoy them with milk, sprinkle over yoghurt or add to our favourite muffin or smoothie bowl. You can even snack straight from the bag!

What is a whole grain?
